Before applying for a loan, you should:

• Make sure that you understand all of the loan terms and conditions before signing the contract. You will be legally obliged to fulfil any loan contract you enter with any licensed money lender.
• Consider if your finances can handle the loan. Do think about your financial obligations and your income, and that you will have a clear plan for the subsequent loan repayments.
• Understand that late payment fees and interest will be charged upon late repayments.
• Based on Singapore?s law, the licensed moneylender has to explain the loan contract in a language that you understand.
