Tab Mapper

The tab mapper is a handy little tool that will render a guitar tab file with graphic chord diagrams displayed alongside. This comes in handy for people who just don't have every single chord shape memorized. Just plug in the web site address of a valid .tab or .crd file and hit "Go". In general, the tab mapper does a better job with printer friendly URLs. If there is more than one way to play a chord, the tab mapper will choose the most common shape. To see other fingerings, click on the chord diagram and you will be taken to the chord calculator.

Acknowledgements

It is with respect, humility and kindness that our team would like to acknowledge the land that nourishes us.

We acknowledge our interconnectedness and are thankful for the water that flows and life that grows each day. Our organization is comprised of a team from many diverse backgrounds who are situated on Indigenous lands across many First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities. In this context, we approach our work with a shared responsibility in upholding treaty agreements and awareness of the ancestors who have come before us, along with the impact of our efforts for generations to come.

TakingITGlobal is a partner in the creation of Whose.land, a learning resource and mobile app to highlight Indigenous Nations, territories, and Indigenous communities. It includes educational videos, lesson plans, and provides a starting point for conversation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous citizens about land, territorial recognition and land acknowledgement.

From April 14?16, we welcomed 13 young Indigenous social innovators to Winnipeg, Manitoba, for the Sprout Ideas Fellowship Accelerator Summit! Over the course of the event, participants engaged in a collaborative review of all 12 Fellowship modules, explored the stories and insights of fellow Indigenous changemakers, and built meaningful connections with one another. The modules covered key areas of social innovation, helping Fellows strengthen their skills and expand their capacity to grow their initiatives. By completing the summit, each participant became eligible to apply for a Seed Grant of up to $5,000 to bring their projects to life!?? Learn more about our Fellows at SproutIdeas.org

? How can we ensure every K-12 student in Canada enjoys the rich, engaging education they deserve?inside and outside the classroom? TakingITGlobal was honoured to sponsor @thewalrus Talks at Home: Public Education & Philanthropy, a frank discussion on the widening resource gap in our public schools?and how community, policy-makers, and philanthropy can close it. ? Watch the highlight reel and hear: Dr. Jan Hare ? on why unprecedented teacher turnover is a red flag and how valuing, mentoring, and diversifying educators + embedding Indigenous knowledge can reverse it. Mark Blumberg ? on philanthropy?s true scale (just 1% of the TDSB budget) and why donors should fund both great programs and advocate for stronger public investment. Erin ?Kothetty? Pauls ? on co-governance in Yukon First Nations schools, land-based learning that boosted literacy scores 14 points in one year, and the need for flexible, partnership-driven funding. Maika Harper ? on how virtual classes were her lifeline from Iqaluit to university, and why reliable tech access still determines what Northern youth can dream and do. Jennifer Corriero ? on Connected North?s work serving 200 schools in remote, Indigenous communities, 400+ role-model presenters, and the momentum we can build together.
